Gran Bwa Heritage Arts provides a transformative after-school sanctuary for Nashville's youth, focusing on holistic wellness, cultural discovery, and personal growth. We move beyond traditional childcare to offer a unique blend of dynamic physical activity, creative expression, and practical life skills.
Our program is designed to energize both the body and mind. Students engage in the calorie-burning intensity of Capoeira, fostering physical fitness and weight loss, then find grounding tranquility through poetry workshops and the hands-on practice of organic gardening in our community plot. We empower them with practical survival skills that build resilience, confidence, and self-reliance.
We honor the African and Indigenous diasporic roots of these practices, creating a space where cultural heritage is a living guide to well-being. Our inclusive environment is specifically tailored to support neurodiverse youth and students managing anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD, helping them build social connections and profound inner strength in a safe, structured setting after the school day ends.
